Pricing
The big question people usually have in their mind when thinking about getting a website done is “How much does a website cost?” Megan’s Web offers affordable website options for a range of different budgets.
I don’t publish a fixed price list for most of my services, as every site is different and there’s no way to give a quote without knowing the details of what your site requires. Some ballpark figures are outlined below. For more information please contact me and we can discuss an option to fit your budget.
The prices below are guides only.
Template websites - $200 setup fee, plus $175 per year
The only sites that I do have a fixed price on are my artist template websites.
If these sites are almost, but not quite, what you need, please get in touch and I can give you a quote on the modifications you are interested in. This can sometimes be a good middle ground to get a high quality budget website up and running if you’re not yet ready to commit the funds for a full custom site.
Custom websites - around $1,200 – $3,000
Most of my custom websites fall in this range, but the final quote will depend on a detailed analysis of your requirements.
A very basic site could come in at a little less than that, whilst a site with a lot of extra features or complex graphics could be more.
Standard website setup always includes:
- Installation of your WordPress content management system
- Extra security features.
- Automatic periodic site backups
- Google Analytics set up so you can see a summary of your visits right in your website’s control panel.
- Basic search engine preparation
- Tailoring your website control panel to your needs, to make it easy to update the site yourself.
- Documentation and training on how to update your website.
Ongoing Costs
As well as the up-front costs in getting your website up and running, there are ongoing costs that you’ll need to budget for, including domain name registration, website hosting and maintenance.
This will vary depending on the size and popularity of your site, but for a small site just getting going, expect around $200 a year as a starting point.
