Megan’s Web is the trading name of Launceston web designer and developer Megan Casey.

Since 2006, I have spent the bulk of my waking hours living and breathing web design, and continue to dedicate most of my time to either building websites, or building my knowledge and skills in all aspects of best practice web design.

When I’m not buried in websites, you can find me out and about at the many arts events that our wonderful state has to offer. I am actively involved in the Tasmanian arts community, including several years service on the management committee of a prominent Tasmanian artist-run initiative. I spend a lot of time talking to artists, and have my own art practice as well, all of which helps me gain insights into what artists need when they are wanting to showcase their works online.

My other slightly obsessive passion is music in many forms, and I can often be found on rainy weekends hunched over the computer digitizing my collection of vinyl and obscure mixtapes. I’m keen to hear from musicians wanting to establish or expand their online presence, as I’m working on building that into another area of specialty.

I also have a background in technical documentation and software testing, and have spent many a day whipping software developers into shape in terms of making their products easier for the end user. Usability and accessibility are two of my strengths and passions, and I put a lot of thought and effort into making sure my websites are easy to use, both for the website owner wanting to manage their own site, and for the website visitors.
